The other morning we looked out the window from our apartment and noticed there is now a lake were there wasn't a day before. At first we thought it was a mirage beacuse there has not been any rain since we moved here (aside from a two minute drizzle three months ago) and we doubted that any water mains had broken. How could there suddenly be a lake where there was not one the day before?
Turns out the lake is a part of the Dubai Govenment's projects to extend the Dubai Creek. Maps show that the water will wrap from our place along the side of a part near us and back to the sea.
