When Product Localization Goes Wrong

One good thing about living in another country is that you get to try new products and brands. Quite often your favorite brands from back home are not in stores or they have been modified for that local market. For example you can find Coke Lite (instead of Diet Coke) in Europe and McDonalds serves veggie burgers in India (where the cow is sacrid).


Here in the UAE, you can find "Herbal" toothpaste from Colgate which is "flavoured" like what most Americans would say is cough drop flavor. This is not a surprise you want to have first thing in the morning. Jamie likes it, but I am not really a fan at all. Although I did use it the other day when I started to develop a slight sratchyness in my throat.
